Mark 2/6.b

Mark 2/6 Ferret

The only real difference between the Mark 2/3 and the Mark 2/6 besides the missiles, is that the turret on the Marks 2/6 and 2/7 sits about an inch higher than the 2/3 model.  Below is a Mark 2/7.   When the Mark 2/6 was superseded by the Mark 5, the missile system was removed and the vehicle reverted to the reconnaissance role, becoming the Ferret Mark 2/7.   Note the reference to the "hole" in the picture below.  This is where the missile structure entered the turret.  There is one on each side of the turret.

The other main difference is that both the 2/6 and 2/7 have a hand crank that turns the turret instead of just a release lever and then the turret is turned by shoulder power.   In the picture below the raised turret is most noticeable.
