The basic vehicle for what is known as the Scorpion family.
The vehicle is designed to carry out fighting reconnaissance and fire support with good anti-tank capability. Driver sits front left with the engine to his right. The turret holds 2 men that man the 76mm gun. Scorpion has NBC protection when closed down. The 76mm gun is an updated version of the 76mm gun in the Saladin.
Scorpion is powered by a militarized version of the Jaguar 4.2 liter engine, derated to 195bhp to accept military fuels. Scorpions transmission is capable of 7 speeds in either direction. Steering is by 2 levers. Rubber pads on the tracks make it street legal.
